Job Summary

We are looking for an Inventory Parts Associate to join the team at our busy marine parts center. If you are a mechanically inclined professional with strong communication skills, we want to hear from you. Boating experience is a plus.

As the Parts Associate, you will be responsible for duties ranging from merchandising, checking in inventory and tracking inventory. You will use your negotiation skills to secure the best prices on inventory and ensure a consistent balance between supply and demand. To succeed in this role, you must be highly organized and have in-depth knowledge of marine parts.

Responsibilities

Greet customers as they arrive at the dealership

Create a professional environment that builds rapport and puts customers at ease

Answer customer questions about marine parts

Use CRM software to maintain a customer database and inventory

Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Order parts and accessories

Check in freight

Maintain proper inventory

Merchandise and stock shelving

Fill in for service writers as needed

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred

Valid state-issued driver’s license and clean driving record are required

Prior sales experience in a dealership or showroom setting is preferred

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage time and serve customers with little supervision
