    Inventory and Service Specialist

    _ Job Summary:_

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory and Service Specialist to play a pivotal role in optimizing our vehicle operations. This multifaceted position is responsible for the efficient purchasing, selling, and reconditioning of our vehicle inventory, as well as the seamless oversight of our service department and its associates. The ideal candidate will leverage their Lean Six Sigma certification to drive continuous improvement, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency and profitability.

    ** Responsibilities:**

    Inventory Management:

    ○ Strategically purchase vehicles to meet market demand and inventory targets.

    ○ Oversee the vehicle reconditioning process, ensuring quality standards are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

    ○ Manage and optimize vehicle inventory levels to maximize sales and minimize holding costs.

    ○ Coordinate with sales teams to ensure inventory aligns with customer needs and marketing efforts.

    ○ Analyze market trends and data to make informed purchasing and pricing decisions.

    Service Department Oversight:

    ○ Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high levels of customer satisfaction.

    ○ Supervise and mentor service department associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

    ○ Monitor service quality and implement processes to ensure repairs and maintenance are performed accurately and efficiently.

    ○ Manage service scheduling, parts inventory, and cost control.

    ○ Address customer service inquiries and resolve any service-related issues promptly and professionally.

    Sales Support:

    ○ Assist the sales team with vehicle information, specifications, and availability.

    ○ Ensure vehicles are properly prepared and presented for sale.

    ○ Collaborate with the sales team to optimize pricing strategies based on inventory and market conditions.

    Process Improvement & Efficiency:

    ○ Apply Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to identify and implement process improvements across inventory management, reconditioning, and service operations.

    ○ Analyze data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization.

    ○ Develop and implement standardized work processes and best practices.

    ○ Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.

    ○ Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory, service, and efficiency.

    ** Qualifications:**

    ● Proven experience in inventory management, vehicle reconditioning, and/or service department operations within the automotive industry.

    ● Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred).

    ● Strong understanding of vehicle purchasing, selling, and valuation principles.

    ● Excellent leadership and team management skills.

    ● Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

    ● Proficiency in inventory management software and dealership management systems (DMS).

    ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    ● Ability to analyze data and generate insightful reports.

    ● Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

    ** Compensation:**

    Starting salary of $60,000 per year.
