    Job Description

    IodiTech is a leading specialty chemical manufacturer located in Kansas City. Our midwestern roots go back to early sixties and our commitment to excellence in quality continues today. We are actively searching for a customer service representative, or CSR.

    A CSR will act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best CSRs are genuinely excited to help customers, both internal and external. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They love to talk and engage in conversation. CSRs can put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Customer feedback is priceless, and CSRs can gather it. Problem-solving comes naturally too. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints. The goal is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction
    • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
    • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
    • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right processes and tools
    • Take the extra mile to engage customers
    • General data entry
    • Other duties as assigned

    SKILLS:

    • Proven customer support experience
    • Team player with positive attitude
    • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
    • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of situations
    • Excellent communication skills, especially written
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
    • Attention to detail is essential and do it right the first time

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Customer service or clerical: 2 years (preferred)
    • Sage 50: 1 year (preferred)
    • Microsoft Office
