SUMMARY:
We are currently looking to expand our Standards Development team if you are interested in becoming knowledgeable in several areas of GS1 Standards this is a great opportunity for you.
In this hands-on role, the Global Standards Manager, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) will provide technical oversight and support for the GS1 and X12 EDI standards and solutions. The incumbent is expected to gain fluency in all GS1 standards, including AIDC (automatic identification data capture – e.g. barcoding and RFID) and GDSN (global data synchronization) to support the use of GS1 Standards by offering subject matter expertise to internal and external teams through education, training, and basic implementation guidance. The Manager supports GS1 US stakeholders in gathering industry requirements for standards and solutions, assisting with maintenance and delivery of tools and solutions, and facilitating meetings and training events as required.
As a team member, you may have the opportunity to travel domestically to deliver education and training, conduct audits and assessments at member facilities, and support the Global Standards Management Process (GSMP). The Manager may work with members from various aspects of the supply chain and must be comfortable in front of diverse audiences. The GS1 US Standards Department is a collaborative team of professionals seeking widespread adoption of GS1 Standards throughout the industry. As a member of the Standards Team, you must be willing and able to work independently and as part of a team, comfortable learning new concepts and able to independently prioritize multiple responsibilities.
