    PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION IS IN ANTICIPATION OF A VACANCY AWARD.

    This position will provide Information and Technology (IT) support. Under general supervision, analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate business processes, upgrade or modify existing systems and review system-wide capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Provides installation, controls network access, enforces system security and troubleshoots end-user problems. Serves as a liaison with IT vendors. Maintains a constant situational awareness of IT performance and needs.

    DUTIES: 

    • Processes and approves IT Install, Move, Add, Change (IMAC) requests in a timely manner, including new installations of computers, network lines or peripherals, moves of equipment and accounts, adding new accounts, and deleting accounts of former employees and handles escalation requests when IMACs and service requests are not completed timely by the vendor.
    • Troubleshoots IT performance issues and conducts root cause analysis of chronic or systemic factors while working closely with vendors to resolve issues.
    • Evaluates new technologies or solutions to improve service delivery and efficiency.
    • Provides training sessions and over the shoulder support to internal and external customers.
    • Supports virtual and in-person trainings and meetings that involve IT components and needs.
    • Maximizes and supports the delivery of contract tasks remotely or by using technology, as opposed to physical presence.
    • Administers and enforces the organization's security policies and procedures, information security awareness program, the security information portion of the business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and all industry and government compliance issues.

    Required Skills

    • Working more than 40 hours per week may be required to meet project deadlines.
    • Physically able to participate and present in training sessions, presentations and meetings.
    • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, vendors or off-site personnel/management.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related experience OR Associate's/Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of related experience.

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

    • Proven work experience in IT and business applications.
    • Ability to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis of chronic or system issues.
    • Ability to effectively collaborate with vendors until issues are resolved and to maintain accurate and thorough documentation and tracking records.
    • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or standard software applications typically used in a corporate office environment.
    • Experiences providing or facilitating professional learning/training events.
