Reviews, analyzes and prepares all information required for ECM's, | | product releases and Engineering Specifications to assure accuracy | | and completeness of related documentation. Assures that all related | | Engineering documentation is complete at each phase of release of an | | engineering project. | | 2. Evaluates the possible effects each ECM could have on | | interchangeability and disposition of parts, reviewing any | | discrepancies with the responsible engineer. Assigns cost center | | codes as required. | | 3. Performs required SAP steps including ECM creation, material master | | MM/PP status and PDM maintenance. | | 4. Creates and maintains Microsoft Word files, including engineering | | assembly notes and engine specs. Maintains intranet web site for | | department access.     | | 5. Creates and maintains PDI, CE, Noise Compliance and other | | regulatory forms. | | | |   | | | | 2. Initiates and performs systematic "prevention" measures to ensure | | processes work as designed. | | 3. Perform searches in workflow system to identify potential issues for | | investigation and resolution. | | 4. Creates missing purchasing info records as needed to strengthen a | | searchable database for the purposes of standardization. | | | |   | | | | 3. Assists documentation supervisor on new projects including Part | | Classification, Service | | | | Parts, and others as identified. | | | |   | | | | 4. Performs other related duties as requested. | | | |   | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | JOB DIMENSIONS: | | | |   | | | | Interfaces with various levels of the corporation (e.g., engineering | | teams, sourcing, after-market parts team, external vendors). | | | |   | | | | SPECIFICATIONS: | | | |   | | | | - Two-year degree in technical field (drafting, | | engineering technician) or equivalent required | | | | - Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience, preferably in a | | manufacturing/materials or engineering environment. | | | | - Effective written and oral communication skills are required. | | - Good keyboarding skills and familiarity with PC computers and | | related software are required. | | - Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and | | collaborate with internal and external customers. | | - Prefer candidates with familiarity with SAP, PDMLink or Windchill | | software, or with Bill of Material management experience. | | | |   | | | |              | | | |   | | | |   | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
