PURPOSE OF ROLE
Ipsos U.S. Public Affairs division provides clients with high-caliber solutions when they need research for high-profile and mission-critical objectives. We integrate government and academic caliber research methodologies with cutting-edge digital innovations to address clients’ critical measurement needs. Clients turn to us when their research is high stakes – whether needed for reporting to government agencies; to demonstrate public thought leadership or inform public debate on issues; for submission to peer-reviewed journals, the media or to C-Suite decision makers.
A major asset and market differentiator for our area of specialization is KnowledgePanel® -- the largest probability sample based online panel in the United States. Due to its sample quality combined with online survey administration, KnowledgePanel® is used widely by US Federal Government agencies and by prestigious academic institutions, as well as commercial clients.
Our team includes academically trained researchers who work with Principal Investigators at government and academic institutions, as well as experts in public affairs, government, journalism and communications, with on-the-ground global experience.
The Research Director handles all aspects of proposal and project design and coordination, including: project budget monitoring, quality control, preparing questionnaires, managing data collection and processing, performing analysis, client interaction, and creating deliverables. The ideal candidate will be experienced with the social science research and sampling fundamentals, research design, execution, and analysis of primary research to address client’s objectives, but also has expertise in public relations, corporate communications, or other related types of research-based consulting.
For this opening, we seek candidates with particular experience managing large multi-country global projects. Research that supports and informs social policy reporting is highly strategic for clients and requires great attention to detail, critical thinking and a consultative mindset, which an ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate.
Finally, we are looking for colleagues who combine an understanding of and commitment to traditional social science standards – but also are truly open to innovation and leveraging the most up-to-date digital tools, to deliver high-caliber research at the speed the market demands today.
