    SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

    Assists trainees in the Advanced Career Training, Off-Center Training and Advanced Training programs; identifies candidates, assists with requirements, and monitors progress and performance expectations in accordance with DOL, Corporate, and Center policies.

     

    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assists in identifying potential candidates for the ACT/OCT/AT programs:  Notifies staff and OA of requirements for the ACT, OCT and AT programs.  Assists trainees with the processes necessary to qualify and register for the programs. Maintains established participation in the program.

    Prepares trainees for participation in ACT/OCT/AT:  Introduces the ACT/OCT/AT programs during the Career Preparation Phase to include all phases of the requirements for different programs and activities that meet established criteria.  Develops and implements ACT and OCT applications.  Provides classes and workshops to introduce trainees and provides information about the ACT, OCT, and AT programs. Provides trainees with an employability assessment evaluation.

    Monitors and ensures ACT/OCT trainees’ progress and accountability:  Monitors ACT/OCT trainees’ progress and performance participation.  Ensures that trainees’ accountability information is submitted accurately and within established time frames.  Ensures all areas of TAR are being updated.  Updates PCDP and CIS case notes monthly.  Participates in ESP panels and submits SPERs for program participants.  Ensures that trainees participate in Work-based Learning, leisure time employment, etc. as applicable.

    Provides support to ACT/OCT/AT trainees:  Arranges transportation as required.  Meets with ACT/OCT trainees a minimum of once every 30 days.  Maintains contact with local agencies and referral sources and utilizes all staff resources to help trainees succeed.  Facilitates ACT/OCT participation in the Student Satisfaction Survey.  Acts as liaison between Center and enrollment agency on trainees’ behalf.  Ensures trainees have access to meals, incentives and other program benefits as required.  Ensures that trainees follow all program rules and are sanctioned accordingly. 

    Ensures that the ACT/OCT program meets DOL, Corporate and Center requirements:  Develops and maintains Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) or contracts as mandated by the DOL, Corporate Office or Center.  Ensures that the program has the required number of trainee participants at all times.  Ensures that all trainees are engaged in meaningful learning and enrichment activities during their down time (i.e., non-class days/hours, semester breaks, etc.) from concurrent courses.  Receives records and maintains regular progress and attendance reports from concurrent enrollment institutions.  Has group meetings with ACT trainees at least monthly.  Has group meetings with OCT trainees as appropriate.

    Ensures that the trainees are transferred to AT programs based on requirements set by AT program, DOL, Corporate and Center requirements:  Ensures that the Center exceeds goals for AT transfers.  Ensures that the Center always has accurate and up-to-date information on all Advanced Training programs.  Distributes information to the Center about AT programs and ensures that we meet application submission deadlines.  Acts as the liaison between the Center and the AT program.
