    SUMMARY:

     

    Responsible for maintaining a wide variety of IT systems at the Camp Alvarado site, adjacent to the international airport. This position works with little direct supervision and requires a high degree of self-motivation and personal accountability, as well as passing familiarity with multiple systems. Provide Information Technology support, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading of workstations and peripherals. Manages user and computer accounts, network rights, and access to systems. Ensures workstations are maintained and operational, and provide troubleshooting assistance with systems issues. Install, configure, and maintain video teleconferencing units and phones. Issue and instruct users on how to operate personal mobile radios, and ensure radio inventory information is continuously updated. Provides user training on systems to personnel. Develop and documents standard operating procedures, network documentation, and key contacts lists for IT support staff as well as helpful how-to guides for users. Assist in coordinating the implementation and maintenance of a local area network. Install infrastructure as required. Assist with the receipt, tracking, and control of Controlled U.S. Diplomatic Pouches. Support customer requirements for movement and troubleshooting cloud-based applications, data, and email. Assist with the coordination of pouch movement with IRM and other embassy staff, as well as staff and military at the international airport. Provide assistance with annual inventory and ensure asset locations are continuously documented.

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

     

     

    • Active Top Secret Clearance
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and two years’ experience in help desk support, or six years’ experience in systems administration is required. MTA (or higher (or equivalent)) may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.
    • Network+ certification (or equivalent or higher) is required.
    • Security+ certification (or equivalent or higher) is required.
    • Cloud+ certification (or equivalent or higher) is required.
    • BICSI Installer is desired but not required.
    • Experience in supervision is desired but not required.
    • Experience with Microsoft products including Exchange, Active Directory, Windows 7/10, and Office.
    • Skilled with operating and basic troubleshooting for IP and analog phones.
    • Skilled with operating and basic troubleshooting for hand held Motorola radios.
