COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for a Software Engineer to join its Software Factory in Huntsville, Alabama.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

• Designs, develops, tests and implements complicated and difficult software programs *
• Analyzes user’s software program needs and assists in troubleshooting *
• Design and develops software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems *
• Performs systems modeling, simulation and analysis *
• Advises hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems
• May provide input for documentation of new or existing programs

Required Skills Required Experience

• Bachelors’ degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business or other related field or equivalent
• Minimum of 5-8 years related experience
• Working knowledge of desktop applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
• Working knowledge of current operating systems and programming languages
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• System Administration in Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Experience Docker Container Orchestration/Clustering using Jenkins, TravisCI, Atlassian Bamboo, CircleCI, or other CI/CD tools.
• Familiar with toolchains and frameworks for securing devops infrastructure using OWASP and/or static analysis tools.
• Experience Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving system problems and suggesting possible performance tuning.
• Experience with File Management, and Command Line Structure, Packaging, and Cots Integration.
• Designing, coding and testing related to infrastructure automation and application deployment.
• Experience with developing process, policies and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution
• Experience with integrating applications with 3rd party features like active directory/LDAP authentication and Microsoft single sign-on
