    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This position provides the following support for the Armament Directorate, Disruptive Futures Division, AFLCMC/EBZ, Eglin AFB, FL.  The Disruptive Futures Division seeks to interrupt the course of what armament is to be by being the hub of concept creation and capability cultivation, one that is undaunted by risk, harnesses the brilliance of people from all sectors, boldly grasps technology’s leading edge, sharpens it, and thrusts it into warfighters hands to deter and defeat on the battlefield. The Division is in a uniquely qualified and independent position as an arm of the AF Armament Directorate as it is able to utilize the expertise of the entire AF armament enterprise to hone requirements discussions, guide and evaluate technology developments, analyze new concepts/tradespace, execute and coordinate rapid demonstrations, and capture/propagate lessons learned from across the Department of Defense, its industry partners, and non-traditional sources.

    • Provide knowledge and experience to efficiently and effectively deliver systems engineering capability in support of the acquisition process
    • Provide knowledge and experience to support the following activities for armament systems; material solution analysis, technology, engineering, and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operation and support
    • Utilize requirements management tools (e.g., Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
    • Support analyzing and reefing systems requirements and translating systems requirements into applications prototypes and final program products
    • Advise and assist in planning and designing systems architecture; determining and designing applications architecture; determining output media/formats; designing user interfaces; testing applications; assuring software and systems quality and functionality; integrating hardware and software components; writing and maintaining program documentation; and application development and sustainment/support
    • Advise and assist in evaluation new applications software technologies; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security / cybersecurity policies., principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services

    Required Skills Required Experience

    One of the following combinations of education/experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience

    • Master's degree in related degree field and ten (10) years of relevant experience

    • PhD in related discipline and five (5) years of relevant experience

    • Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance by start date

    • Previous experience in Tableau or other Data Analytics Software.

    • Knowledge and experience shall include application and execution of the following data science and visual analytics processes: data model requirements definition and analysis, model architecture design, data structure development, visual analytics development, verification and validation.

    • Must have the ability to plan and execute the technical reviews and assessments (e.g., System Requirements Review, Technology Readiness Assessment) and documentation development (e.g., Systems Engineering Plan, Risk Management Plan) that are an inherent part of the activities and processes listed above

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Active and current SECRET clearance highly desired
    • Data warehousing
    • Machine Learning
    • Extensive experience in Tableau
    • Previous experience in providing engineering support in systems program office highly desired
