    Graphic Packaging-Visalia manufactures and distributes paper cups and plastic lids for the food service industry and is currently recruiting for the following position:

     

    JOB TITLE: 2ND SHIFT CART PULLER                             

    DEPARTMENT: CUP

    WORK SCHEDULE: 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (Midnight)

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Cart Puller is responsible for keeping the machines from running out of materials by ensuring that they take carts with material to the appropriate cup machines. Cart Puller is responsible for keeping the drop zone area clean, and will remove empty/rejected carts and transport the carts back to drop zone for pick up. Cart Pullers also conduct cart counts, cycle counts and inventory counts on production floor and machines. Cart Pullers supply silicone, and mineral oil to the machines and other supplies needed on a daily basis.

     

    All employees must follow all Graphic Packaging International work rules, code of conduct and safety procedures and policies including wearing personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, hearing protection and safety goggles.

    WORK DEVICES/TOOLS consist of the following: computer, pallet jack – electric, manual pallet jack (glue beads), channel locks (oil and silicone), pen, notepad

     

    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Must be able to walk around throughout the department taking carts to and from machines; surfaces are mostly concrete
    • Must be able to push/pull; maximum force required to push/pull is 35 lbs
    • Must be able to lift/carry approximately 10 lbs from floor to waist height
    • Must be able to reach between waist and shoulder height which occurs occasionally throughout the shift basis
    • Must have the ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
    • Overtime will be required as necessary including weekends. Graphic Packaging International operates on a 24 hour, 7 day/week basis.
    • 6+ months Manufacturing experience preferred
