    Job Description

    Position: Director of Sales

    Location: Greater Houston Area

     

    Summary

     

    Our client is a leader in protection for drill pipe, casing, and tubing in the worldwide petroleum industry. The company is seeking a Director of Sales to assist in the expansion and adoption of new service and product lines which complement its core business. This individual will have the knack for establishing new customer relationships and guiding internal field sales teams to meet key revenue goals. Additionally, this role will play an active role in meeting and supporting the organization’s continued growth through continued sales process improvement.

     

    Job Responsibilities and Functions

    • Work with the President to develop a Sales and Marketing Strategy for existing and new Products and Services Globally
    • Directly responsible for executing our Sales and Marketing Strategy
    • Monitor and report to President regularly on sales targets for products and services and make necessary adjustments when under-performing
    • Manage, mentor, and direct Company Sales Reps and Agents to increase sales and profitability
    • Manage pricing for products business to maximize inventory turnover and profitability
    • Create and manage budget for all sales actives including but not limited to personnel, travel, entertainment, promotions, and trade shows
    • Entertain and cultivate top tier customers
    • Other duties as assigned

    Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree; with a minimum of five years of experience in a sales/business development for energy, manufacturing, transportation or construction.

    Requirements:

    • Strong technical learning skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, and verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and non-management personnel.
    • Ability to supervise, mentor and train employees.
    • Must be extremely detailed oriented, attentive to accuracy, well organized, ability to multi-task workload, and a self-starter.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in team environment, demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word & Excel.

    Other Requirements:

    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening, which includes a drug test (position may be subject to ongoing drug testing as a term of continued employment)
    • Ability to legally work in the US

     

    Additional Information

    Work Environment

    This position operates largely in an office environment. However, travel to field locations can be expected. International and domestic travel will be required.

     

    Physical Demands

    In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal. While at work, the employee may be expected to sit, walk, and stand. Individual might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individual might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.

     

    Position Type & Working Hours

    This is typically a full-time position. Normal business hours and schedule to be determined.

     

    Travel

    Position would require approximately 75% travel time per year.
