POSITION SUMMARY, JOB REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Software Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the execution of Quality Assurance test plans. The analyst will develop test plans, test cases, or test scripts for software development projects, among other responsibilities. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, design, and execution for all system testing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and write test cases within an agile or non-agile development process
• Design and execute test plans on various computer applications
• Record, document, and resolve test anomalies
• Compare test results to expected results as documented on test plans
• Execute and maintain test plans and test scripts that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications
• Collaborate with developers to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process
• Document all testing results in conjunction with test plans
• Analyze defects/test results and be able to deduct the chain of events leading to a failure
• Communicate critical issues and status updates in a timely manner

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working with Oracle BRM Billing system required
• Experience working with T-Activate Provisioning systems required
• Demonstrated skill and ability in the testing of n-tier applications
• Basic knowledge of TBMS or any other mediation systems preferred
• Familiarity with SQL queries and database structures
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix commands required
• Testing SOAP Webservice calls required
• Understanding/updating the test automation for GUI/Web, Webservice with Selenium and Cucumber preferred
• Experience in creating automation scripts in Ruby/Python
• Understanding of telecom OSS\BSS preferred
• Ability to Interact with various departments and management
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and multi task
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be self-motivated and willing to "do what it takes" to get the job done
• Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks
• Ability to learn multiple languages and environments
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / EEO

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science required
• Minimum of two years’ software testing experience
• Experience in the telecommunications industry preferred
