    Iris Scientific is a specialty recruitment agency laser focused on sales and marketing roles in the North American Scientific Instrumentation Industry.

    We are working with a market leading global Life Sciences and Bioprocess Solutions Provider to find a Global Product Manager for Protein Analysis Hardware and Software systems. The candidate should ideally be based out of the San Francisco Bay Area  - but well qualified remote candidates will be considered.

    We are looking for a Product Manager with 2+ years of industry experience in the scientific instrumentation market - who has the unique combination of scientific knowledge and credibility, excellent communication and organization skills, an aptitude for business and product marketing, and hands on experience with cell and/or protein analysis technology (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA, HPLC, and imaging).  Experience with global product launches is key - and would be a strong advantage.   If this sounds like you – please get in touch.

    Key Responsibilities:

    As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for product management activities that enable definition, development and commercialization of new products in line with market requirements and will interface with Sales, Application Specialists, Services, Product Development. Specifically, the Product Manager will be responsible for a specific line of Protein Analysis Instruments.

    • Define and executes product strategy, product roadmaps and specification of product requirements

    • Manage Product lifecycle

    • Create strategy for product portfolio — Aggressively identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate new product features on an on-going basis

    • Define market opportunities and develop product briefs

    • Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong business cases to drive development decisions; drive consensus/alignment with stakeholders

    • Align with R&D and product development for product portfolio

    • Manage development of the communication strategy of the responsible product i.e. campaigns and their execution, together with marketing communication

     

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Life Science, Engineering or related field

    • M.S. or Ph.D. preferred

    • 2+ years of Life Sciences Industry experience as a product manager

    • Experience with global product launches is a strong advantage

    • Strong network within the industry

    • Strong technical knowledge of cell and/or protein analysis technology (e.g., flow cytometry, ELISA, HPLC, and imaging)

    • Ability to Influence and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers

    • Ability to travel up to 15%

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
