    Iris Scientific is a specialty recruitment agency laser focused on sales and marketing roles in the North American Scientific Instrumentation Industry.

    We are working with a market leading global Life Sciences and Bioprocess Solutions Provider to find a field-based Key Accounts Manager to drive sales in targeted BioPharma companies. The candidate should be based out of the San Francisco Bay Area (qualified candidates will be offered a relocation package).

    Product coverage includes a full range of bioanalytical and bioprocess hardware, along with associated reagents and consumables.

    We are looking for an Life Sciences Accounts Manager with 2+ years of proven sales experience in the BioPharma market - who has the unique combination of scientific knowledge and credibility, excellent communication skills, an aptitude for business and sales, and knowledge of upstream and downstream bioprocessing.     Key Responsibilities:

    The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for working within the company's sales organization to drive growth and build and maintain effective relationships within assigned key customer accounts.

     

    • Identify new business opportunities aligned with the organization's overall market and growth strategy
    • Actively drive newly launched innovative products and services into the marketplace and proactively follow up on the successful implementation of sales activity at key accounts
    • Work in conjunction with product specialists to drive sales and ensure customer needs are met
    • Support customer requirements in supply and quality in close alignment with our internal capabilities
    • Regularly visit critical decision makers and influencers at the accounts and able to build sustainable business relationship
    • Periodically report on the progress of the business to line management and internal stakeholders, using reporting tools as provided and recommended by the organization

     

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Bioengineering or related field
    • 2+ Years experience and a proven track record in sales within the Biopharmaceutical or Life Science Industry
    • Knowledge in Upstream and Downstream Bioprocessing is a key advantage (eg. fermentation, filtration, and purification technologies)
    • General sales skills, presentation skills and solid business acumen
    • Knowledge of standard office software and modern communication tools
    • Ability to travel within the designated territory (minimal overnight travel will be required.)
    • Must possess a valid driver's license
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States
