    Iris Scientific is a specialty recruitment agency laser focused on sales and marketing roles in the North American Scientific Instrumentation Industry.

    We are working with a market leading global Bioprocess and Bioanalytical Solutions Provider to find a field-based Regional Sales Manager to lead a team of sales representatives.  The focus area is sales into BioPharma companies who are developing Advanced Cell and Gene Therapies.

    Product coverage includes a full range of bioprocess, bioanalytical, and lab equipment, along with associated reagents and consumables.

    The candidate should be based in a major center in the West Coast of the United States, and be available to travel regionally.

    This is an exciting and rewarding role for someone who enjoys: leading and developing a team of sales professionals, building and managing strategic relationships in the biopharma business environment, making valuable contributions to pharmaceutical development and production, and driving a strategic sales process.

    We are looking for an Life Sciences Sales Professional with a minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in the BioPharma market, along with 1+ years of direct team management. They will have the unique combination of scientific knowledge and credibility, excellent communication and leadership skills, a proven aptitude for business and sales, and knowledge of upstream and downstream bioprocessing.     Key Responsibilities

    As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading the sales organization within a specified geography (Western USA, Advanced Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturers). You will oversee the sales representatives within the region to drive profitable growth aligned with the organization goals and objectives.

    • Implement the sales strategy within their area of responsibility.
    • Build and maintain an efficient sales team to achieve business objectives and customer satisfaction across their area of responsibility
    • Collaborate with all stakeholders in the organization
    • Provide ad hoc and regular reports
    • Identify opportunities to improve market coverage
    • Meet with customers to support the Sales reps
    • Attract, retain and develop talent within their team
    • Represent the company at meetings/events/gatherings/Industry Interest groups

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelors degree in Business or the Life Sciences
    • Minimum of 3+ years experience selling into BioPharma companies
    • Minimum of 1+ years direct team management experience
    • A history of success in developing, driving and closing business and achieving targets
    • Negotiation and influencing skills
    • Teamwork oriented, and a willingness to work to the benefit of others
    • International organizational and team building skills
    • Willingness and ability to travel
