    Responsibilities:

    As a Governmental Sales Representative, the responsibilities shall be:

    • Focus on strategic business development and sale of the company's industrial products to Governmental customers in North America.
    • Visit potential customers in North America to discuss and demonstrate the company's indisputable quality of products and excellent customer service.
    • Achieve orders to meet the target given in the budget for the FY 23/24 and subsequent budget plans.
    • Gain an overview of all the company's products.
    • Provide leadership in identifying, analyzing, and qualifying new Governmental business opportunities with company application and product managers.
    • Support the entire team in their activity to sell and support the the company's products, allowing the company to attain an appropriate global market share in North America.
    • Work closely with the applications group to ensure successful growth. Make evidence-based suggestions driving the apps group to modify and develop products for customer-specific and broad market appeal.
    • Coordinate with the VP of Sales & Marketing to develop and execute short and long term business plans and strategies designed to ensure ongoing success and growth of OEM revenue and profit.
    • Provide support during product demonstrations, tradeshow events, and workshops.
    • Work with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing to provide any marketing and strategic information gained from research in the North American market and integrate this information into strategic decisions to grow the North American and global businesses.
    • Visit company locations for training on OEM products and familiarity with entire product range.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    This individual should have a hands-on background including diode and/or ultrafast lasers.

    • Degree in physics, physical chemistry, biophysics, photonics, optics or similar experience, Masters level or higher preferred.
    • Business development experience related to lasers and/or photonics in a commercial/OEM setting
    • Experience in the semiconductor, biophotonics or optical metrology application space preferred
    • Strong ability to communicate
    • Excellent computer and project management skills
    • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
    • Well organized, structured and task focused
    • Confident negotiating skills, and ability to influence
    • Eager to grow within the role, develop and build on current skills
    • Team-oriented
    • Identifying customers problems, consulting and providing a solutions
    • Good time management, independent and self-starting
