Irrigation and Lighting Management, LLC is a highly successful, established company with over 40 years of experience serving the Greater Charlotte area. We specialize in premium residential and commercial landscape irrigation and outdoor lighting installation, maintenance, and management.

Due to strong growth, we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our exceptional team and advance their careers. We currently have an immediate opening for a full-time Irrigation and Lighting Technician.

The ideal candidate will:

Install, maintain, and repair irrigation and lighting systems across diverse landscapes and properties

Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks safely, professionally, and efficiently within allocated timeframes, following safety training and best operational practices

Demonstrate strong knowledge of electrical systems, irrigation technology, and attention to detail

Partner with landscaping crews and clients to deliver reliable, high-quality, and visually appealing outdoor solutions

Key Responsibilities:

Install and repair landscape lighting and irrigation systems (sprinklers, drip, controllers, pumps, wiring) for homes, businesses, and public spaces.

Assess sites and place components correctly based on terrain, plants, and client needs.

Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and fix issues like leaks, broken pipes, faulty wiring, valves, timers, and electrical problems.

Adjust controllers and schedules for efficient watering and lighting (weather-based, plant needs, water conservation).

Keep clear records of all work, materials, and service schedules.

Stay current with new technology and best practices.

Communicate clearly with clients and ensure they’re happy with the results.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (preferred: training or certification in electrical, irrigation, or similar fields)

Experience installing, fixing, and maintaining landscape lighting and irrigation systems

Good knowledge of basic electricity, wiring, and low-voltage systems

Understanding of sprinkler parts, water pressure, and ways to save water

Comfortable using tools and equipment for lighting and irrigation jobs

Able to read blueprints, diagrams, and instruction manuals

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Good communication skills to talk clearly with customers and coworkers

Physically fit — able to work outside in all weather and lift heavy items

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
