Position Summary
The Irrigation Technician provides irrigation services for Sunrise Landscape's commercial clients across private and public properties. This role combines hands-on landscaping work with irrigation maintenance responsibilities and requires the safe operation of landscaping equipment to complete daily tasks.
The Irrigation Technician supports irrigation installations, maintenance, and property preparation while maintaining quality standards, client satisfaction, and safe work practices. A successful Irrigation Technician brings irrigation experience, reliability, and the ability to perform physically demanding work in Florida's outdoor conditions.
Key Responsibilities
As one of our Irrigation Technicians, you will have the following areas of responsibility:
Irrigation Installation & Maintenance
Install and maintain irrigation systems, including pipe, joints, heads, and wire
Dig holes and trenches and backfill for drainage and irrigation installations
Haul and install topsoil, greens mix, gravel, sand, grass seed, and sod
Landscape Maintenance & Property Preparation
Perform planting, mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, and general garden maintenance as needed to prepare properties for turnover
Prepare and clean job sites, removing debris and waste
Ensure all work is completed to company quality standards and client expectations
Equipment & Safety
Safely operate landscaping equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers
Conduct regular equipment maintenance checks and report issues
Always adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn, including helmets, fall protection, ear plugs, safety glasses, and gloves to prevent injury
Teamwork & Communication

Deliver excellent customer service in all client interactions
Qualifications & Core Competencies
Minimum of 2 years of professional irrigation experience required
2 Wire System knowledge
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in Florida heat
Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and squat for prolonged periods throughout the day
Ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time
Ability to lift 30+ pounds multiple times per day in hot temperatures
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including heat, high humidity, and rain
Driver Qualifications
To qualify as a Driver, in addition to the above, you must:
Possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States for a minimum of three years
Maintain a clean driving record for at least three years
Successfully pass a drug screening
