    Job Summary
    We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, takes pride in high‑quality work, and is capable of leading or training others in irrigation best practices. This role includes direct interaction with clients and coordination with internal teams, so professionalism and accountability are essential.
    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Perform spring start-ups and winterizations.

    • Conduct routine system checks, maintenance, and in-season troubleshooting.

    • Complete timely and accurate irrigation repairs.

    • Install, modify, and maintain irrigation systems to company standards.

    • Diagnose irrigation issues and recommend effective solutions.

    • Evaluate system performance and suggest improvement opportunities.

    • Work with WeatherTech smart controller systems (preferred).

    • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers (in person, phone, email).

    • Serve as a lead tech when needed; assist in training and supporting team members.

    • Coordinate repairs and service needs with the Account Manager to meet customer expectations.

    • Follow all company safety guidelines and promote safe working practices.

    • Maintain proper inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.

    • Accurately record personal and crew time daily.

    • Assist with scheduling, routing, production planning, or other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • 4–5 years of irrigation experience required.
    • Strong understanding of irrigation systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
    • Proficiency with irrigation hand tools and power tools.
    • Ability to inspect systems, document problems, and recommend solutions.
    • Valid driver's license required.
    • Ability to respond to after‑hours emergencies when needed.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Highly organized with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and good judgment.
    • Backflow Certification preferred but not required.
    • Commitment to ongoing training and staying current with irrigation technology.
