We are experiencing exciting growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, and are looking for a motivated Irrigation Technicians to join our Installation team at our Bradenton, FL office.
Your Opportunity:
As an Irrigation Technician within our Maintenance Division, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing existing irrigation systems , directly addressing our clients' ongoing needs. You will work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient and high-quality maintenance services, contributing directly to our continued success and client satisfaction. This position offers the chance to grow within a dynamic and expanding business. You will report directly to the Irrigation Manager of a branch and/or region and will be based at our local branch office in Bradenton, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on existing irrigation systems , including wet checks, adjustments, and preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within existing irrigation systems, identifying root causes of problems.
- Repair various components of irrigation systems , including pipes, valves, sprinkler heads, wiring, and controllers.
- Adjust and optimize irrigation system settings to ensure efficient water usage and plant health.
- Read and interpret basic irrigation system layouts and diagrams for maintenance and repair purposes.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant codes and regulations related to water usage and irrigation practices.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and service details.
- Communicate effectively with clients, the Irrigation Manager, and other team members regarding system issues and completed work.
- Operate and maintain company vehicles and a variety of irrigation maintenance and repair equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of proven experience as an Irrigation Technician focused on maintenance and repair.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (prior 3 years).
- Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation system components, maintenance and repair techniques, and best practices.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance and repair issues.
- Ability to read and interpret basic irrigation system layouts and diagrams.
- Good understanding of water management principles and efficient irrigation practices for existing systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
