    The Opportunity Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF), an education non-profit headquartered in Irvine, CA, currently has an immediate opening for a Development Associate to join our team. The successful candidate has experience in database management, special events, corporate/foundation grants, and comprehensive fundraising development support. As part of a three-person Development department, this candidate will work with Director of Development (DOD) and Development Coordinator to meet or exceed annual fundraising goals. The Development Associate will contribute with specific responsibilities for campaign management activities and fundraising events, especially donor cultivation and stewardship, grant research/writing, logistics, and sponsorship fulfillment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ➢ Plans, implements, and manages development infrastructure systems to ensure that annual goals and objectives are accomplished.

    • Assesses and refines procedures and manages data administration and daily/monthly gift dashboards/reporting with Development Coordinator to track against projected annual goals.

    • Performs research on donors and prospects and investigates the grant or sponsorship funding process for foundations and corporations.

    • Participates in the planning and execution of IPSF development activities including the annual appeals, grants, special events, and third-party fundraising activities.

    • Supports with documenting and tracking donor relations activity and correspondence in donor CRM database (Raiser’s Edge NXT).

    ➢ Develops and executes a strategic development plan for assigned fundraising initiatives and events.

    • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with community, corporate and individual donors to advance campaign/appeal goals and objectives.

    • Manages donor stewardship touchpoints to support donor engagement at all giving levels.

    ➢ Provides support with IPSF special events, donor relations, and programs planning and execution.

    • Manages moves management strategies and tracking for DOD, Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

    • Prepares data and information for board members, committees, and key stakeholders to distribute as directed.

    • Solicits in-kind donations and coordinates in-kind donation pick-ups and delivery.

    ➢ Works with the Marketing and Communications team in the creation and release of print and digital fundraising publications and other communications.

    • Leads sponsorship fulfillment process to ensure all recognition and branding benefits are completed and shared with sponsors.

    • Monitors and updates development related content on IPSF website.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Must be well-organized and have the ability to manage multiple and competing tasks and deadlines.

    • Uses critical thinking skills to create documents and spreadsheets and interpret information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to formulate appropriate responses to requests for services and information from internal and external constituents.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

    • Must have working knowledge and experience with nonprofit fundraising; at least three years’ development experience highly desired.

    • Two years or more related experience in data management and CRM reporting, Raisers Edge NXT a plus.

    COMPENSATION:

    This is a full-time, exempt position with annual salary compensation ranging from $64,480 - $68,000 commensurate with experience. Typical hours would be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional attendance at evening and weekend events required. IPSF currently operates with a hybrid office schedule, two collaboration days in the office and three days remote.
