Job Description
Project Analyst (remote to start, partial remote after pandemic)
IMMEDIATE NEED for a Project Analyst to join a financial services company at their Santa Ana, CA regarding a 6+ months on W2 contract.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Detail tracking of project/program budgets, contracts, and invoices
- May assist Project Managers in the administration/coordination of a project or have responsibility over a smaller scale project or project area
- Track project information, follow up on tasks and issue status, resolve routine issues, report status to management
- Gather information, prepare and maintain on-going reports for management
- Utilize critical thinking to assess tasks and issues and arrive at proposing solutions
- Prepare project plans
- Must be familiar with scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
- Prepare and send communications to a wide range of team members
- Organize and maintain project artifacts
- May facilitate meetings
- Financial analysis
- Works on standard issues/problems
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Follows department processes and procedures and may make recommendations to these processes
- Supervision Received or Extended
- Ability to works independently on standard issues/problems
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Detail-oriented
- Experience with financial statement and accounting
- MS Excel skills
- Organizational and coordinating skills
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills to gather information and relay project information to a wide audience, draft project documentation and project plans
- Generally acceptable project management tools such as MS Project, Visio, story boarding
