Job Description
.NET DEVELOPER
IMMEDIATE NEED FOR A .NET DEVELOPER to join a well-establish and fast-growing manufacturing company, involved in the development of in-house logistics/supply chain management applications. In this role, you will develop and maintain links between databases and in-house software applications. Relate and coordinate with business stake holders for system ownership and rollout. Provide technical instruction on implementing solutions to release manager and support lead to end-users. Train new systems users through walk through and/or documentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review, analyze, design and develop business application systems or enhancement which include but not limited to coding, testing, debugging, installation and support.
- Will be involved in development of inventory, supply chain management applications, working in VB.NET and C#, ASP.NET.
- Document design specifications per business requirements and update operation procedures as required. Interpret business requirements into technical diagrams such as process flow diagrams or flow chart.
- Conduct training and provide training manual per request.
- Provide level II and off-hour support for business and process engineering application systems.
- Explore, evaluate and deploy 3rd party software.
- Self-development, that is, further knowledge in programming, project management, and business acumen.
- Participate in or manage projects that support new business or IT initiatives.
- Working closely with subject matter expert (SME) at the business side to provide programming development for existing or new systems under the guiding principal of Software Development Lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer related discipline. Relevant business and technical experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Experience in business system analysis, design, programming and/or systems software and support.
- 8+ years development, working with .NET framework (MVC), MS Visual Studio
- SQL server database development
- Experience with VB.NET or VB6
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution industries.
- 4+ years of experience in systems development and project management.
- Proficient in debugging and coding fine-tuned SQL queries, stored procedures and working with data in relation databases in MS SQL Server and/or MS Access
