    Job Title: IT Specialist Location: Remote Job Type: Part-Time We’re seeking a knowledgeable and dependable IT Specialist to support our organization’s technology needs, with a strong emphasis on data security and HIPAA compliance. In this role, you’ll ensure that all systems, software, and devices are operating efficiently while maintaining the privacy and protection of sensitive client information. You’ll provide IT support, manage hardware and software systems, troubleshoot issues, and play a critical role in keeping our operations compliant with industry standards like HIPAA. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, responsive, and passionate about secure and efficient tech environments. Responsibilities: • Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues • Ensure all systems and technologies comply with HIPAA regulations and protect client confidentiality • Install, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, computers, etc • Support secure access to telehealth platforms and troubleshoot connectivity issues • Monitor system performance, backups, and antivirus software to ensure security and uptime • Manage user accounts, permissions, and device access across systems (e.g., Google Workspace, EHR platforms) • Collaborate with leadership to implement IT policies, procedures, and data protection protocols • Maintain inventory of IT assets and software licenses • Document technical processes, security incidents, and support requests • Educate staff on basic cybersecurity hygiene and safe use of technology Qualifications: • Experience as an IT Specialist, IT Support Technician, or similar role • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for handling Protected Health Information (PHI) • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software, hardware, and network systems • Familiarity with remote desktop support , cloud platforms (e.g., Google Workspace), and data backup protocols • Understanding of basic cybersecurity practices and endpoint protection • Strong communication and customer service skills when supporting non-technical users • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Compensation: $5 hourly
