ITALIAN TERRAZZO & TILE CO. OF BREVARD, LLC

POSITION TITLE: ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

DEPARTMENT: ACCOUNTING

REPORTS TO: CONTROLLER

POSITION TYPE: REGULAR FULL-TIME

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Accounting Assistant would ideally have a GL background, account reconciliation experience, excellent communication skills, strong Excel abilities, and the ability to perform general accounting responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Prepare journal entries.

2. Account reconciliations.

3. Credit card reconciliations.

4. Prepare weekly payroll.

5. Prepare and scan checks for deposits.

6. Maintain supplier master.

7. Ad-hoc requests as needed.

8. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

1. Knowledge of accounting, organizational, and clerical procedures and systems.

2. Ethical conduct, including ability to maintain confidentiality.

3. Practical knowledge of US GAAP.

4. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and capacity to learn new software systems.

5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

6. Excellent work ethic, assertiveness, and sound judgment.

7. Excellent organizational skills and ability to adhere to deadlines and follow up through completion.

8. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks efficiently.

9. Effective written and oral communication.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Associate’s Degree in Accounting or related field

2. 1 year of experience in a dedicated accounting role in a mid- to large-sized company (Preferred)

3. Experience working in ERP software (Preferred)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

1. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

2. Travel required: limited overnight travel may be required for asset audits.
