Accounting Associate - Property Management
Job Description
PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Accounting Associate – for Property Management provides support to the Finance Department and has administrative, bookkeeping, clerical, accounts payable, and accounts receivable duties. The Associate enters invoices, writes checks, prepares accounting reports and maintains accounts payable and receivable ledgers. The Associate frequently communicate with vendors, customers and different departments in the organization to resolve outstanding payments and records fiscal transactions, and balances and reconciles accounts.
Salary range: $35,000 through $38,000

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three to five years of prior accounting/bookkeeping experience. Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to handle complex tasks. Ability to work independently on multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
Preferred : Intermediate proficiency in fund accounting and associated software.
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the INHS mission to revitalize neighborhoods and to assist low to moderate income people in obtaining quality housing on a long-term basis.
TRAVEL
Travel outside of the service area, including out-of-county, will occur occasionally. A valid driver’s license and access to transportation is not required.
