  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a skilled and reliable PRN IV Technician to join our clinical team. The IV Tech will be responsible for initiating and monitoring intravenous therapy in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols. This is a PRN (as-needed) position with variable hours based on staffing needs. Responsibilities: • Prepare and insert intravenous (IV) lines for medication administration, hydration, and other therapeutic treatments. • Monitor and maintain IV sites to ensure proper flow and detect complications such as infiltration or phlebitis. • Accurately document procedures, patient reactions, and any deviations from expected outcomes. • Maintain clean and stocked IV supplies and equipment. • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. • Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures. • Provide excellent patient care and comfort during IV procedures. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certification as an IV Technician is preferred or required based on state regulations. Experience: Prior experience with IV insertion and maintenance in a healthcare setting is preferred. Licensure/Certification: • Valid IV certification from an accredited program. • CPR/BLS certification (required). • Any additional state-specific certifications as required. Skills: • Proficiency in venipuncture and IV techniques. • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently. Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
