While our commitment is to Allstate, we recognize that some clients have unique insurance needs that fall outside of Allstate's underwriting guidelines. To ensure we can protect everyone who comes to us for help, we utilize the Ivantage brokerage platform. This allows us to place business with a variety of trusted, third-party carriers when an Allstate policy isn't a viable option.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Ivantage Products Specialist to manage this crucial segment of our business. This individual will work exclusively with our third-party quoting platform, Ivantage, to find and place coverage for clients who do not qualify for Allstate products. The ideal candidate will be an expert at navigating the offerings of carriers like National General, American Modern, Hagerty, and others, ensuring our clients receive excellent coverage options while allowing our agency to capture and retain valuable business.
You will work closely with our existing team members—including Dawn, Terian, Michele, Mckenzie, Kaitlin, Joey, Brooklyn, Tiffanie, Cherie, Megan, Jackson, Britney, and Jeff—to provide a seamless experience for every customer, regardless of where their policy is ultimately placed.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all leads and referrals that are ineligible for Allstate's personal lines products.
Utilize the Ivantage platform to accurately quote and compare policies from our appointed third-party carriers, including National General, American Modern, Burns and Wilcox, Jewelers Mutual, Embrace, Hagerty, and others.
Present detailed and understandable quotes to clients, clearly explaining coverage, limitations, and the value proposition of each option.
Bind and issue new policies through the Ivantage platform, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
Manage the servicing of the Ivantage book of business, including handling endorsements, renewals, and client inquiries.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the underwriting appetites and product nuances of each carrier available through Ivantage.
Collaborate with the Allstate sales team to ensure a smooth hand-off of clients and maintain a positive team environment.
Diligently document all client interactions, quotes, and decisions in our CRM system, following agency guidelines.
Proactively review Ivantage client files for opportunities to rewrite their business with Allstate as their eligibility changes.
Qualifications:
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license for the state of Iowa is required. Licenses in Nebraska and South Dakota are highly preferred.
Proven experience in personal lines insurance sales and service.
Experience using a brokerage platform like Ivantage is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of insurance principles and underwriting concepts for various risk types (e.g., specialty vehicles, unique property risks).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance products clearly.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently to manage a dedicated book of business.
A commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience while also focusing on agency profitability and growth.
Proficient with standard office technology and CRM systems.
