    Ivybrook Academy, a progressive Montessori and Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool, seeks a highly qualified, dedicated, and passionate School Director for our Katy, TX campus. In this extremely rewarding position, you will assume ultimate responsibility for creating and maintaining an educational, loving, and nurturing environment for our families and educators. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong understanding of curriculum and a clear commitment to the highest of standards in early childhood education. He or she must have a sense of humor and understand the flexibility needed in a school setting! We are seeking a proven leader who has demonstrated the essential skills required in establishing effective relationships with our educators, our parents, and, most importantly, our students.

    Some Key Areas of Responsibility

    Fielding enrollment leads and converting these to enrolled students leading up to school opening

    Ongoing virtual training leading up to school opening with franchise support staff

    Overseeing the school’s curriculum coordination among the educators and assisting with implementation

    Being knowledgeable about the touring and enrollment process to assist in these areas when needed

    Establishing a safe, healthy, and welcoming preschool setting and overseeing programs and activities to engage and educate young children

    Possessing substantial knowledge regarding state child care licensing regulations, policies, and procedures

    Developing open lines of communication with educators, parents, and students—and conduct one-on-one meetings with parents to discuss each child's progress

    Building and supporting a qualified team of early childhood educators to continually enhance our superior reputation in early-childhood education

    Eagerness to step into classrooms to teach, model, observe, mentor, assist and/or fulfill any other classroom roles needed to ensure optimum classroom operation and student success

    Participating in marketing events, campaigns, and community relations

    Providing unparalleled customer service

    Overseeing registration and admissions on an ongoing basis

    School year closely follows district public school calendar allowing for a work-life balance

    Over 1 month paid vacation per year

    8:00 - 12:00 work hours (part-time)

    Requirements:

    Must meet state childcare licensing training, education, credential, and experience requirements for Director Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, and/or curriculum coordination

    Experience in an administrative role in a school setting

    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Adobe
