Job Responsibilities:
Plan and implement daily lessons for the children following a progressive approach to education
Observe and evaluate each child’s progress
Work cooperatively and professionally with staff members and parents
Maintain communication with parents (especially that which regards student progress and readiness)
Be available for parent conferences
Attend staff meetings, training and school functions
Maintain portfolio assessments for all children in the classroom
Adhere to Ivybrook and state learning standards
Commit to continuing education

Job qualifications/preferences:
Availability for school events and professional development training required
Priority given to those with Bachelor’s or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and/or Special Education. Previous experience at a public, private, or licensed school preferred
Valid South Carolina state certification/educator license for grades K+ preferred
Experience in and/or knowledge about the Montessori and Reggio approaches to education preferred
