We are seeking a School Director who has demonstrated skills in establishing effective relationships with staff, parents, and children. This position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service.     Key Areas of Responsibility include the following (other duties may be assigned):

    Oversee the school’s curriculum coordination among the educators and assist with implementation.

    Assist in opening and closing school building for staff, students, and families daily.

    Establish a safe, healthy, and welcoming preschool setting and oversee programs and activities to engage and educate young children.

    Develop open lines of communication with staff, parents, and children—and conduct one-on-one meetings with parents to discuss each child's progress.

    Build and support a qualified team of childcare educators to promote our superior reputation in early-childhood education.

    Participate in marketing events, campaigns, and community relations.

    Provide unparalleled customer service.

    Promote a qualified team of childcare educators that portray our philosophy, mission statement, and approach to early childhood education.

    Ensure the day-to-day operations conforms to all safety and sanitary requirements as established in the policies and procedures of Ivybrook Academy.

    Oversee the daily school operations through administration and management of the school campus.

    Implement the school philosophy, mission, and vision.

    Collaborate with the Parent Teacher Committee.

    Give tours of the school and enroll prospective families.

    Maintain availability for employees and parents whenever needed, which includes but is not limited to email, phone calls, and conferences.

    Run weekly staff meetings and trainings.

    Uphold the National Association for the Education of Young Children standards.

    Ensure the safety and protection of all students.

    Responsible for maintaining a sanitary environment for the children.

    Attend all school functions.

    Assist and evaluate educators on meeting the requirements of their job descriptions.

    Participate in staff hiring, supervision, and ongoing professional development.

    Implement school policies and procedures.

    Create a school environment where educators and families feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

    Communicate to families the policies and procedures of the school.

    Comply with all applicable laws and regulations for the school.

    Requirements:

    · Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field

    · Experience in curriculum coordination

    · Experience in preschool administration

    · must meet all requirements for an administrator as outlined in the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS) Child Care Center Rules
