IVYWOOD ACADEMY ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
The Assistant Director will report to the Director of Ivywood Academy and work closely with them to create a JOYOUS experience for families, students, and teachers. The Assistant Director will have office administrative duties, substitute in classrooms as needed, help manage 10-15 teachers, OPEN OR CLOSE the center each day, and help with the overall needs of the day- to-day operations of the program. This position also requires a lot of movement, energy/enthusiasm, organization, excellent communication skills, multitasking, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO AS AN ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain Student Enrollment through ProCare, Student files, Managing Leads, and Scheduling Tours
Oversee New Hire Intake Process and Employee Files
Manage Accounts Receivable through ProCare
Answer Ivywood Phone and email
Supervise the Front Door/Reception
Help with Cleaning/Organizing
There will be additional administrative responsibilities.
Classroom Responsibilities
Substitute in Classroom as Needed
Provide Breaks for Teachers
Help with Students who are Struggling – Provide Them a Break
Visit Classes to Ensure the Ivywood Way is Being Implemented Consistently
Changing Diapers & Helping with Potty Training as Needed when Substituting.
Team Management Responsibilities
Collaborate with Director to provide Servant Style Leadership to Our Team of 0 Teachers
Create a Supportive & Positive Environment for Teachers
Be an Exemplary Role Model
Understand Teacher’s Responsibilities & Ensure Safety is Being Carried Out
Monday and Tuesday 9:30am-6:30pm, Wednesday and Thursday 7:00am – 5:00pm and Fridays- alternate shifts every other Friday with a 1-hour break.
AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE WE NEED FROM YOU
College Degree or Highschool Diploma/GED & CDA or other childcare certification/degree
3-5 years’ experience with children age infant - PreK 3 Professional References
Expertise in communication with parents, team members and our students Ability to use consistent good judgment.
