J.A.G. is a fast-growing overhead door company in West Haven CT specializing in commercial and residential installation and repair. We’re seeking a skilled or unskilled garage door service professional. We will provide training and all of the tools to be successful as a full-time W2 employee. As a service professional at J.A.G. & Sons, you’ll be given the opportunity to grow in your personal and business life. Perks of the job include but are not limited to: • Up to $1,500 sign-on bonus • Company vehicle • Gas card • Paid time off • Training and development opportunities • Option for 401K • Pay is negotiable based on experience • Compensation varies based on experience and skill set Responsibilities: The day in the life of a garage door service professional, although many days are different: • Dispatch to job at 8 am • Return to shop at 4 pm to unload/restock • Weekly team meeting/training • Lift/move objects in excess of 75lbs • Work in all weather types • Work from ladders • Operate heavy machinery including fork truck and scissor lift Qualifications: • Positive attitude and good work ethic are a must • Garage door experience is preferred but not required • Experience using power tools is a plus. Candidates with a background in other trades are encouraged to apply. Examples include: carpenter, mechanic, construction, technician, windows, doors, garage, service, installation, welding, fabrication, and low voltage • Up to $1,500 sign-on bonus available for candidates with applicable skill sets • In our experience candidates with a background in automotive repair, airplane mechanics, & diesel mechanics do very well with the transition. Welding experience is a plus but not necessary • Must be able to pass a drug test, driving record, and background check Compensation: $30,000 - $60,000 yearly DOE
