    Job Description

    Build, expand, and maintain Fiber optic plant in all areas of communication construction.

    Responsibilities/Job Duties Install services including voice, data and TV, complete work         orders utilizing all safety and installation manuals and test         equipment. Maintain vehicle compliance in terms of inventory, safety, and         maintenance. Perform work following all required safety requirements         including, but not limited to, climbing, digging, and drilling. Provide all associated paperwork in a timely manner. Delash and relash of fiber, wreck out and pole placement transfers and aerial to underground conversion. Continually improve product knowledge through offered         trainings and opportunities. Provide feedback to management on trends and issues that         may be widespread to determine appropriate remedies. Placement of telephone poles and anchors. Participate as required in on-call, evening, weekend, and/or         shift work hours upon eligibility. Safely operate and use bucket truck to complete daily             construction assignments as needed (climb             poles). Reports to OSP Supervisor Requirements/Qualifications Valid drivers license. Minimum high school diploma. Preferred advanced             education in information technology, electronics, or similar         field. Must obtain 10 hour OSHA in 90 days of employment. Physical and Work Environment Requirements. This position requires regularly bending, climbing, sitting,         and lifting of more than 80 pounds. Working in various weather conditions. Ability to distinguish colors. Must have previous experience splicing cable TV cable. Perform complex pole transfer or Make Ready. Pole climbing experience is a plus.
