J.M. Canty, Inc. is looking for the right innovative person to support Camera Optical Technology across multiple industries and applications in our Lockport location.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a unique job is constantly evolving and includes hands on use of equipment. JMCanty makes vision and light systems to help our customers optimize their process. When supporting customers, you will be at the front line of new inventions and process control software.
You will help improve software and design of equipment with suggestions from customer or your personal experience in helping the customer.
You will learn our in-house software and have a hands-on experience in our laboratory. You will need to be able to communicate via email, phone and video chat on teams to our customers.
You will be trained on our equipment so you can be a vital help to our customers
In this position you will need
· Flexibility to regularly rotate through different technical specialties and skill sets
· Ability to assess customers’ support needs when they arrive, then provide solutions
· Ability to thrive on change as products and needs evolve
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Mechanically inclined
· Good communication skills interpersonal skills.
· Must be organized and attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and work from task list.
· Strong knowledge of computer operating systems and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Ability to demonstrate mature judgment and work with minimal supervision, time management skills and can make decisions quickly.
· Positive attitude
QUALIFICATIONS:
-2-4-year degree in Sciences, Engineering or IT
-Knowledge of Electrical/Wiring even if it’s just DIY (not required but preferred)
