ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST (OIL & GAS)

Oil & Gas producer centrally located in Dallas seeks an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. The AP Specialist "must-have" oil and gas upstream accounts payable experience. The position is responsible for AP for several companies including E&P and oilfield service companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Scan and create vendor invoices, expense reports, and other payment requests in OpenInvoice.

·         Accurately code a large volume of invoices daily.

·         Maintain spreadsheets.

·         Set up vendor numbers and populate electronic payment information detail in Enertia.

·         Assist with entering accounts receivable and customer billings.

·         Serve as vendor support interface with outside vendors and internal staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         2+ years of oil & gas upstream accounts payable experience.

·         Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

·         Understanding of capital and lease operating expenses.

·         OpenInvoice experience preferred.  Enertia experience a plus.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office.

·         High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

·         Good problem solving and critical thinking skills.

·         Flexibility with ability to switch tasks and prioritize.

·         Proactive approach to looking at processes and systems to facilitate continuous improvement.
