    The Role

    As a Payroll and HRIS Specialist, you will work closely with the Controller and Human Resources team on day-to-day employee transactions related to all Human Resource Information Systems.  You are the employee’s  go to for all things Payroll, Benefits, and Paid Time Off. You are up to speed and prepared for any Federal and State wage and benefits annual changes.  You can assist in applying for State Tax ID’s as well as navigating unemployment and workman’s comp claims.  You have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the capacity to handle various data entry and reporting tasks on a daily basis. You are a team player and up for the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment. Excel and google sheets are heavily used in this position. 

     

    Duties and responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned as needed)

    Payroll and HRIS Support Duties:

    Ownership of:

    • Payroll System Onboarding of New Hires
    • I-9 verifications
    • Timesheet Audits
    • Benefits Enrollment and Benefits Partner Liaison
    • Off boarding- Terminations
    • Compensation Audits
    • Commissions
    • Initiate and keep record of Employee Compliance
    • Employee Files
    • Maternity Leaves
    • Workman’s compensation
    • Compensation Reports to/for Partner
    • Corporate tax reporting
    • Local, state and federal government reporting requirements
    • Other duties as needed

     

    Qualifications:

    Experience:

    • 3+ years of related experience in Payroll Processing and Benefits
