We have been retained by our client, a growing General Contractor in the Detroit, MI area, to find a Project Manager with a strong background in Water/Wastewater projects. This role encompasses leading diverse projects and teams, ensuring successful delivery in the water and wastewater treatment sector.
Duties:
- Oversee the execution and management of construction contracts and work orders, ensuring project success from start to finish.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the project team, fostering collaboration among team members and with external partners.
- Engage in the creation and negotiation of work proposals, handling financial disputes and change orders with project owners.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project cost reports, overseeing budget adherence and financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement quality assurance and safety plans in cooperation with project Superintendents, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience, with at least 10 years in the construction industry.
- A minimum of 6 years' experience in managing construction projects, with a preference for those who have handled Job Order Contract projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently, maintaining high standards of performance.
- Strong proficiency in project management and scheduling software, underpinned by excellent construction, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management knowledge.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills, capable of effectively coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders.
