  • Responsibilities

    We have been retained by our client, a Manufacturing company, to find a skilled Mechanical Designer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed 3D designs and specifications for mechanical components, ensuring functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

    Duties:

    • Create and revise detailed 3D models and drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
    • Collaborate with engineers and other departments to understand product requirements and develop design solutions that meet those needs.
    • Conduct simulations and stress analysis to verify the integrity and performance of designs before production.
    • Participate in design review meetings, presenting designs, and incorporating feedback to refine and finalize projects.
    • Document design process and maintain records of specifications, including materials, dimensions, and procedures for future reference and compliance.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in Design/Drafting or related field is a plus
    • Proven experience in mechanical design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
    • In-depth understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey design concepts and specifications to team members and stakeholders.
