  • Responsibilities

      We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join our client, a leading Commercial General Contractor. Responsibilities of this position involves supporting construction projects in preparing estimates, project reporting and assisting in the day-to-day project management activities for tenant improvements and ground-up construction.

      Duties

      • Support project team by contributing to the preparation of estimates, marketing materials, social media content, and contractor qualification proposals for a variety of construction projects, including tenant improvements and ground-up construction.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in planning, procurement, and control of projects from initiation to completion, demonstrating a basic understanding of construction project skills.
      • Take initiative to meet project goals, adhere to responsibilities, and achieve project milestones under the guidance of the Project Manager.
      • Contribute to the definition of project success criteria, monitor key metrics, and provide regular updates on project status, results, and milestones.
      • Engage in creative and analytical problem-solving, fostering teamwork, innovation, and excellence within the organization.
      • Participate in the establishment of practices, templates, policies, tools, and vendor partnerships to enhance team capabilities, while procuring necessary resources to achieve project objectives within specified timeframes.
      • Assist in day-to-day project management activities, schedule and lead team meetings, provide status reports on project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues, and serve as a safety coordinator to uphold the company's safety culture.

      Requirements

      • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as project coordinator in the construction industry
      • Understanding of general construction and subcontract documents, drawings and specifications construction means, methods and materials.
      • Strong  leadership and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing. 
      • Ability to read plans and understand the different divisions of work.
