We have been retained by a growing mid-sized AE firm to identify a Regional Director - Water/Wastewater to manage and expand the Water/Wastewater business in Maryland/North Virginia by collaborating with company leaders and teams. The role includes decision-making on project opportunities, developing strategies, and actively participating in key projects.
Duties:
- Lead the Maryland Water/Wastewater Department, overseeing Business Development, Operations, and Project Management related to water resources.
- Responsible for expanding the water resources and environmental business within Ohio/Kentucky, targeting federal, state, and local municipal clients.
- Serve as a Senior Project Manager or Project Principal for significant water, stormwater, and wastewater projects.
- Devise strategies to enhance the market share in the public water sector across Ohio, while also increasing the company's prominence through active participation in organizations and delivery of high-quality work.
- Offer technical guidance on projects, ensure quality control, assess engineering proposals, and lead as well as mentor the water resources staff.
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- B.S in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- PE registration in Maryland, DC and/or Virginia
- Over 10 years in Water Resources Engineering
- Experience leading Design projects
- Demonstrated success in business growth and client relationships.
- Familiarity with Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs)/Teaming Agreements and adept at securing timely partnerships considering business risks and experience in local government interactions.
