    Job Description

    ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

    J.S. Perrott & Co. is recruiting for a part-time Accounting Assistant in its Vancouver, Washington Corporate office. This person will primarily assist the Controller and CEO. This role is an integral part of ensuring the company’s operations run smoothly. A successful candidate will bring strong communication abilities, excellent organization skills and accounting acumen.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • QuickBooks: 2 years (Preferred)
    • Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)
    • Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·         Organizing and processing invoices

    ·         Conducting follow up on invoices from vendors

    ·         Weekly certified payroll

    ·         Managing files

    ·         Reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and credit cards

    ·         Preparation of monthly and quarterly reports

    ·         Assisting with month-end and tax file preparation

    ·         Compiling and imputing new hire paperwork

    ·         Answer telephones

    ·         Manage incoming and outgoing mail

    ·         Prepare outgoing shipments

    ·         Greet guests and maintain a welcoming office environment

    ·         Support administrative duties as necessary

    SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

    • Accounting knowledge
    • Strong knowledge of banking and reconciliation concepts

    ·         Highly detail-oriented and organized

    • Analytical and creative thinker with the ability to prioritize
    • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple task and responsibilities
    • Accurately follow directions and instructions
    • Takes initiative with assigned tasks
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with various people, personalities, and skill sets
    • Positive and energetic can-do attitude

     

     

    JOB TYPE:

    Part-time hourly position

    SALARY:

    $18-$22 per hour

    SCHEDULE: 

    TBD, days can be flexible but must be on a consistent schedule and approved
