DEFINITION:

Hosts are the first point of contact for all guests and play a key role in setting the tone for an upbeat and welcoming dining experience. This position is responsible for warmly greeting guests, managing wait times and seating arrangements, and ensuring smooth communication between team members. Hosts also provide general information about the restaurant, manage guest flow, and maintain an organized host stand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:

· Greet guests promptly and professionally as they arrive

· Manage table seating efficiently, including quoting accurate wait times and maintaining an organized waitlist

· Escort guests to their tables and provide menus while informing servers of new seatings

· Answer phone calls and respond to any questions that guests might have

· Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff

· Answering phones and answering guest’s questions

Provide accurate information about the menu, history, entertainment, and promotions

Communicate guest feedback, complaints, or concerns to management

Support front of house operations by coordinating with team members

· Perform other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or GED

· Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry preferred

· Positive attitude and interpersonal skills

· Good communication skills and phone etiquette

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

· Must be able to communicate clearly with guests and other employees.

· Flexibility when working alternating shifts

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Must be able to frequently go up and down stairs.
