NOTE: THE START DATE FOR THIS POSITION IS DECEMBER 2020 OR SOONER. THIS IS NOT A POSTING FOR SUMMER 2021.
I. PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Quality Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting JAKTOOL quality and procurement operations.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in QMS monitoring and maintenance in an ISO 9001 environment
Update and maintain supplier files
Support procurement operations by entering and reviewing Purchase Orders
Assist with ERP data entry
Document and organize data according to document controls
Support quality control operations with gauge tracking, calibration, and inspection
Support sales, engineering and manufacturing operations as needed
Update and maintain inventory system of overage stock
Works independently on given assignments; able to multi-task on several given projects
Other duties as assigned
II. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Works closely with internal and external groups:
Internal relationships include Marketing, Sales, Operations, Regulatory, Quality Control, Research & Development, Manufacturing and Purchasing.
External groups include vendors, subcontractors, and clients.

VI. SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:
Hands on experience with standard measuring and testing equipment preferred (i.e. micrometer, indicator, caliper)
Prior exposure to mechanical engineering, machine design, and prototyping technology
Excellent analytical, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills are essential.
Candidate should be a self-starter and comfortable working independently
Excellent computer skills are required
