Janover, a full-service accounting firm dedicated to being innovative, accessible, efficient, and technologically sophisticated, is seeking a Tax Associate to join our Tax Team. This individual will build and grow client relationships as well as assist the team with tax preparation services, prepare tax returns, and research tax related matters.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Work on a variety of clients and perform tax preparation services
• Prepare basic individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
• Utilizing necessary software and programs to complete assignments
• Research basic tax related matters
• Develop and build relationships with clients and client personnel
• Identify and solve potential tax issues
• Comply with professional standards and client confidentiality

JOB LOCATION: Garden City/ New York City/ Remote           

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Completion of Accounting Degree
• Anticipation of 150 credit hour requirement for CPA license
• Prior accounting work or internship experience is a plus
• Willingness to learn and work hard
• Ability to multi-task, work independently and in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Familiarity with basic accounting and tax concepts
• Possess strong computer literacy and with ability to learn accounting software
