    Summary of what the Structural Sales Engineer Will be Doing:

    Delivering comprehensive building solutions, products, and services within traditional frameworks, our organization is dedicated to achieving incremental, profitable growth in emerging markets. As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as the crucial link between our client and builders. Your responsibilities will encompass the development of preliminary structural designs, coordination with internal and external suppliers, and the creation of professional proposals for both conventional and hybrid buildings.

    Duties and Responsibilities of the Structural Sales Engineer:

    • Develop and manage a strategy for utilizing external engineering resources, when necessary. This involves seeking quotes from external suppliers, formulating estimates, and presenting proposals.

    • Review architectural drawings and specifications to determine the necessary scope of work for proposal submissions.

    • Communicate with clients to clarify building requirements and confirm the proposed delivery schedules.

    • Generate or oversee preliminary structural designs using conventional steel and pre-engineered metal building design tools, incorporating essential drawings and reactions.

    • Collaborate with management and brand sales teams to craft effective sales strategies, establish margin levels, and actively promote the organization within the market.

    Qualifications/Requirements for Structural Sales Engineer:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
    • Licensed Professional Engineer is required.
    • 4+ years of experience in the construction industry, including 2 years of structural design for steel buildings and 2 years of proposal, estimating, or sales experience.
    • Proficiency in implementing building codes and steel product codes, including IBC, ASCE, AISC CFE2008, SJI, SDI, REP2014, NSR-10.
    • Experience in both conventional and metal building design is a plus.
    • Strong sales acumen and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated business acumen.
    • Working knowledge of REVIT.
