What you will get to do as a Structural Engineer:

• Prepare Structural design calculations, design analysis, construction drawings, specifications and reports utilizing proprietary design software specific to the organization.
• Become proficient with material specifications, such as ASCE, AISC, NDS, ACI, etc.
• Become proficient with state and national model codes,
• Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections
• Collaborate with owners, architects, designers, and contractors on the design and construction of projects
• Prepare Engineer Reports & Studies

Qualifications for Structural Engineer:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• EIT Required / Professional Engineering registration preferred
• 4+ years of engineering experience
• Experience with design software such as Revit, Tekla, Microstation, BIM
• Solid knowledge of building codes and specifications
• Prefer prior experience with pre-engineering buildings
