This particular opportunity would come into a team of established professionals with a solid backlog of existing work both on the Missouri and Kansas side. Responsibilities\- Civil Designer - Transportation:
- Provide Microstation CAD drafting and design support for Project Managers and Engineers during the planning, design and construction of civil infrastructure projects primarily on KDOT and MoDOT highway projects, as well as county and city roadway projects.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of standard drawing templates, 3D objects, details and graphic standards.
- Translate mark-ups into drawings, check and plot drawings, correctly label final working drawings, and update contract drawings.
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining standard drawing files in accordance with company standards.
- Review all work for completeness and accuracy.
Education and Qualifications - \- Civil Designer - Transportation:
- Proficient in civil engineering/site development, and preferred experience in DOT highway/roadway-based CAD drafting
- Microstation Preferred - InRoads/OpenRoads; Civil3d experience accepted as well
- Two-year diploma or concurrent enrollment in design/drafting with AutoCAD training from a recognized institution.
- 7+ years of experience in a drafting/designing capacity
- Ability to prioritize tasks to perform on multiple assignments concurrently.
- High level of accuracy/thoroughness, attention to detail and speed.
- Must have good communication skills and a commitment to meeting project deadlines and challenges while working in a team setting.
- Team-spirited, focused, able to make good independent decisions.
